(256) 221-0989The north side of your house is darker than the south side. That is not a shadow — it is algae, and it has been getting a little worse every year until one day the whole wall reads dirty from the road. Vinyl, hardboard, brick and stucco all do it here.
Siding does not want high pressure. Blast it and you drive water up under the laps, into the sheathing, and behind the trim, which is a problem you find out about two years later. We soft wash instead: low pressure, a cleaning solution that actually kills the growth rather than knocking the top layer off it, and a rinse. It comes off, and it stays off longer than a pressure-only wash, because the organism is dead instead of relocated.
We do the parts people forget too — soffits, fascia, gutter faces, porch ceilings and the exterior of the windows we can safely reach. If the gutters need clearing while we are up there, say so and we will price them together.

Frequently asked questions
What does house washing cost?
It depends on square footage, how many stories, and how bad the growth is. A single-story ranch is a very different quote from a two-story with heavy shade on the back. We look at it, give you a number, and there is no charge for the visit.
Is soft washing different from pressure washing?
Yes, and for siding it is the right one. Pressure washing removes dirt with force; soft washing uses low pressure and a cleaning solution to kill what is growing on the surface. On siding, high pressure risks driving water into places it should not go.
Will it hurt my plants?
We wet the beds down before we start and rinse them again when we finish, which is what keeps the solution diluted below anything that bothers established landscaping. Tell us about anything delicate and we will cover it.
How long before the green comes back?
On a properly treated wash, usually two to three years in this climate — longer than a pressure-only rinse, which can green back up within a season because the growth was never actually killed.
