(256) 221-0989A packed gutter does not announce itself. It just quietly stops moving water, and then during the next real storm the overflow runs down the fascia, behind the boards, and into the corner of your foundation. By the time there is a stain on the ceiling the cheap fix is long gone.
We clear the troughs out by hand, bag the debris and take it with us — it does not get raked into your beds. Then every downspout gets flushed and watched until it runs clean at the bottom, because a clear gutter feeding a blocked downspout is still a blocked gutter. If an elbow is packed solid, we open it up rather than pretending water went through.
While we are set up, the outside faces of the gutters get washed. Those vertical black streaks are not dirt you can wipe off — they are a bonded residue, and they come off with the same soft-wash treatment we use on siding. Most people book this one alongside the house wash for that reason.

Frequently asked questions
How much is gutter cleaning?
It is priced on linear footage and stories, so we quote on site. Adding gutter face washing to a house wash costs less than booking the two separately — worth asking about if you need both.
How often do gutters need cleaning?
Twice a year for a house with mature trees over it — once after the spring seed drop and once after the leaves come down. A house with nothing overhanging it can usually go annually.
Do you clean gutters with guards installed?
Yes, though it takes longer, since the guards have to come off and go back on. Guards cut down on what gets in; they do not stop the fine grit and shingle granules that eventually pack the bottom of the trough.
What about the black streaks on the outside?
That is oxidation and airborne residue bonded to the finish, and no amount of hosing takes it off. It needs a cleaning solution and dwell time, which is exactly what we do on a soft wash — so yes, we can remove it.
